Can
we use Read Write Inc. at home?
Many parents are very keen to use Read Write Inc. with their children
at home to help them get reading - FAST!
Ruth Miskin has now created a series of Read Write Inc. Phonics
Storybooks especially for parents to use at home, alongside a Parent's
Handbook and set of Phonics Flashcards. This series helps parents
support their child's reading development by reinforcing what he or she
is learning at school in a fun and structured way. If your child is
following the programme at school, your child's class teacher will also
be very happy to help you. Please read the attached letter below that

How will I know how to pronounce the phonic sounds?
You can practise saying the sounds by downloading our phonic sounds
PowerPoint presentation using the link below. Save the presentation to
your computer and click view slide show to run the presentation. Click
your left mouse button to cue each sound.

What will I need to order?
Start by buying Set 1 Speed Sound cards and a picture alphabet-sound
frieze to put in your child's bedroom.
When your child can read and blend these sounds into words, they will
soon be ready to read the Set 1 and 2 storybooks. You can choose
between the books in colour, or black and white.
